Great Parks is kicking off a process to complete Park and Facilities Master Plans for every Great Park. The process divides the parks into three geographic planning regions: West, Central, and East. This fall, you are invited to participate in planning for the west region.

West region parks include: Miami Whitewater Forest, Shawnee Lookout, Fernbank Park, Mitchell Memorial Forest, Embshoff Woods, Campbell Lakes Preserve, Oak Glen Nature Preserve and land along the Whitewater River corridor.

These engagement events are informal, so you can stop by for a few minutes or stay and talk for a while. There are posters and flyers to learn about the planning process, Great Parks staff and planning team members to talk with and ask questions, and several activities to capture your feedback and ideas for the future of Great Parks.

Also, join us on October 19 for a two special events that will take place in Miami Whitewater Forest.
