Hike or Bike with us October 19th!

October 7, 2019 Featured, Participate

You are invited!

Great Parks is kicking off a process to complete Park and Facilities Master Plans for every Great Park. The process divides the parks into three geographic planning regions: West, Central, and East. This fall, you are invited to participate in planning for the west region. On October 19th, we will be hosting two special engagement events at Miami Whitewater Forest. We hope you’ll join us. Check out the details!

Interpretive Bike Ride on the Shaker Trace Trail

Miami Whitewater Forest | Shaker Trace Outer Loop Trail
Saturday, October 19, 2019

Join us for a guided bike ride in Miami Whitewater Forest park on the Shaker Trace Outer Loop Trail. The 7.8-mile ride will be led by Great Parks’ staff and members of its Park and Facility Master Plans team. This event will give you an opportunity to learn about our local environment and the park itself and provide input on how we can improve Miami Whitewater Forest and other west-side Great Parks.

The bike ride will begin at 10 a.m. at the gazebo next to the Harbor. Bring your own bike. Helmets are required.
