Effective this Thursday, March 19, 2020, Great Parks is extending closures and cancellations to include all indoor facilities, Parky’s Farm in Winton Woods, Highfield Discovery Garden in Glenwood Gardens, golf and camping at Miami Whitewater Forest and camping at Lake Isabella. Camping at Winton Woods will be for self-contained units only, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Great Parks’ 21 parks and preserves will remain open for passive recreation, including trails, private boat access and fishing access. The agency is also waiving its Motor Vehicle Permit to make the parks more accessible for outdoor enjoyment.
Great Parks is also offering its new Parks@Home program to provide free conservation and nature education activities via social media and at http://greatparks.org/parksathome.
